Personal data is processed exclusively for the following purposes:
Recording signatures supporting the Appeal and maintaining records of individuals who endorsed it;
Communication with signatories who wish to receive updates (e.g., information on the development of the case or the handover of the petition to relevant institutions);
Official submission of the Appeal to state authorities, international institutions, or media as part of the campaign.
The legal basis for processing is the consent of the data subject under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
This consent is granted when submitting the form on the “Join the Appeal” page.
Within the form, we collect and process the following data:
First name and last name (required)
E-mail address (required)
Address (street, city, ZIP code, country) — optional
Message — optional
Consent to the processing of personal data (required)
We do not use any data beyond this scope. We do not collect sensitive personal data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR.
Your personal data will be stored:
for the duration of the campaign, and
for a maximum of 2 years after its conclusion, unless you withdraw your consent earlier.
After this period, the data will be securely anonymized or deleted.
Personal data is stored in a secure database with restricted access. Only authorized persons on behalf of the Controller have access.
We use a secure connection (HTTPS) and standard technical and organizational measures appropriate to the level of risk (passwords, encryption, access rights).
Personal data is not automatically transferred to any other controllers or processors outside the EU. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Your data may be disclosed to the necessary extent to:
Relevant public authorities of the Czech Republic, international organizations, or media in connection with the official submission of the Appeal (e.g., as a petition list containing name, surname, and city).
Technical service providers (e.g., web hosting, e-mail server), who act as processors under a data processing agreement. We do not sell your data or provide it to commercial entities.
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary to register your support for the Appeal. Without consent, your signature cannot be recorded.
